AC | Prototype H - Ferrenzo P49

Description

The Ferrenzo P49 is built on a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis that weighs no more than 1,030 kg. Its twin-turbocharged 120° V6 engine has a displacement of 2,992 cc.

During braking and deceleration, the electric motor 200 kW (272 PS) is linked to a customized 900 V battery pack which outputs power at over 190 km/h (118 mph). The ICE's maximum power output is roughly 500 kW (680 horsepower) which results in an installed power output that approaches 1,000 horsepower combined.

With a double wishbone suspension on all four corners, the P49 offers unparalleled handling and stability, ensuring confidence on the track.

The Ferrenzo P49 represents a harmonious blend of tradition, cutting-edge technology, and racing prowess: A worthy contender in the Prototype H class.

Hybrid Prototypes Series - Ferrenzo P49

We've invested significant effort in replicating key aspects of physics crucial to shaping the handling and performance of Hybrid Prototype cars. These enhancements bring a fresh level of authenticity and engagement to your races in Assetto Corsa. Join us on this journey as we unlock a new dimension of realism and excitement in Hybrid Prototype car racing.

CSP is a continually evolving platform, our features seamlessly align with the current CSP version (0.2.2), but future updates may introduce incompatibilities.

Starting the Hybrid Prototype

Starting the Car:

To initiate the car in the game, manual intervention is required. You can accomplish this by configuring the "IGNITION" and "STARTER" functions using the "Extended Controls App" VRC mod, accessible through the CSP Apps Shelf. Alternatively, you can assign the "Extra option A" and "Extra option B" switches in the controls/patch settings found in Content Manager.

Starting from the Pits:

When commencing from the pits, the procedure involves turning the ignition on, shifting to 1st gear, and then engaging the clutch to bump start the petrol engine. To provide better acceleration, it is ideal for the Ferrenzo P49 to start the engine before leaving the pits.

Starting from a Hot Lap Position:

In scenarios such as starting from a hot lap position, activate the ignition and utilize the starter button to initiate the petrol engine, following the usual procedure.

Control Bindings and “Extended Controls App”:

Included with this mod are functions for VRC's "Extended Controls App," facilitating easy access and customization of key bindings tailored for this car. The Extended Controls app enables real-time binding adjustments during gameplay. Note: Certain functionalities like ICE maps and Power Levels can't be changed while driving. Adjust these settings in the car's setup menu when stationary.

Physics:

Crafted to Hybrid Prototype Series regulations, this car prioritizes aerodynamics and power levels. Optimizing braking distances is crucial for efficient battery management due to a custom energy consumption/recovery algorithm. The integration of the CPHYS COSMIC suspension feature enhances suspension behavior, unlocking additional setup options like Steering Ratio and Weight Distribution adjustment. Note: This feature will continue to evolve as our understanding grows.

Power Unit Management:

This update improves handling during braking by reintegrating vanilla's FRONT MOTORS to manage regenerative torque. Power output is capped at 520KW within specific RPM ranges, with users able to adjust levels. The torque split option allows bias towards electric power, and four deployment strategies control deployment speeds. Energy levels per stint are regulated, with penalties for exceeding limits. Effective battery management balances braking performance and energy recovery.

Equipped with a personalized traction control system akin to CPHYS TC2, drivers define permissible sliding degrees and intrusiveness, optimizing traction while granting control over the car's rotation through throttle manipulation.

Car Display:

A: This section provides information about GEAR, Laps count and stint laps count,
current regen/deployment torque (red bar)and front and rear ARB adjustment
offsets.

B: Tyre info including: tyre pressure in bar and tyre carcass temperature

C: This area includes (from left to right to bottom):wind direction, engine brake
level, brake balance, brake migration, regeneration level and brake bias correction

D: This area include (from left to right): estimated laptime, delta to best, remaining deployable energy per stint and the energy delivery per lap.

E: Brake surface temperatures.

F: TC slip limit setting, TC initial rotation setting (pick up).

G: Speed in KPH.

H: RPM.

I: TC cutoff level setting and TC exit setting adjustment.

J: The lights situated on each side of the steering wheel primarily serve to indicate the increasing slip rate. In instances where the slip factor rises, the lights will progressively turn blue, converging from the sides to the center.

Additionally, these lights also function to signify the conclusion of electric power deployment when you approach the maximum speed allowable for deployment. Thus, the color and pattern of the lights serve a dual purpose, offering insights into both slip rate dynamics and the status of electric power deployment.

Audio Experience:

Powerful V6 Engine: Enjoy an accurate, true-to-life representation of the V6 engine, capturing its distinctive characteristics and providing a solid foundation for the car's sound profile.

Physics-Based Hybrid Sounds: Building upon the success of the previous ProtoH car, the hybrid system has been further refined, offering even more physical ties to closely represent the iconic electrical whine, enhancing the overall auditory experience.

Wind and Rolling Noises: Delve into the immersive world of racing with subtle yet characteristic wind and tire rolling noises. These details, present both inside the cockpit and from the exterior, add depth and authenticity to your driving experience.

Further Custom Details: Experience immersion like never before with a range of additional custom details. From various noises emanating from the bodywork and chassis to the sensation of navigating rough track surfaces, bumps, or kerbs, every sound places you right into the heart of the action.

For the most genuine audio experience, we recommend adjusting your in-game audio settings. If you're using Pure Config, consider turning off all wind sound effects to fully appreciate the rich soundscape of the car.
